Best Places to stay in Arequipa Peru
[kkstarratings] This is Dan from Vagabond Buddha. I just completed a week in Arequipa, Peru.
I read about where to stay in Arequipa before booking in the Old Town area of Arequipa. But after staying there, I can confirm that it is the best place to stay in the area. Everything interesting in Arequipa is just a 10 minute walk of the Old Town Area of Arequipa.
Here are my suggestions of where to stay in Arequipa. If you select one of the places I recommend below, you will pay nothing extra, but they will pay me a small commission.
Backpacker Recommendation: This hostel is well reviewed and couldn’t really be in a better location.
Moderate Hotel: On the day I was searching for cheap hotels, this one was crazy cheap for such a great location.
Money to Burn: If you are fat on cash and want only the best, this place is for you.
Where we Stayed: This is where we stayed. It was a large studio apartment with its own kitchen and private bath. It was only 4 blocks from the city center and cost only $14 per night.
Airbnb Apartment: This place is not far from the Old Town area of Arequipa and gives you a little space to entertain and cook in the kitchen. It is reasonably priced so you shouldn’t mind paying for a taxi every few days or walking an extra couple of blocks to get to old town. (If you are new to Airbnb, use this code www.airbnb.com/c/dbell50 for a discount).
Price Check: Once you have selected where you want to stay, then use HotelsCombined.com to find the agency offering the lowest booking price for that property.
Free E-Book: If you would like to learn how to make money online, or how to live internationally possibly with less money than you spend at home, please subscribe to VagabondBuddha.com and grab a free copy of my Ebook.
I am not offering you these prices. These are just my notes and estimates from the time of my visit and this post. Your costs will likely be drastically different if significant inflation or deflation occurs or the market changes after this post. I will not update these numbers until I am on the ground again here, if ever.
