We only list restaurants here if we loved them.
Palm Cafe (Near Accommodations): This was our favorite best cheap food restaurant in Siem Reap. $2.50 Entrees, $0.75 Draft Beers in ice mug. Veg and non-Veg dishes, $1.50 salads.
Madam Moch Khmer Restaurant (On the fence): $3 Entrees (Veg and non-veg), $0.75 Draft beers.
River Food Cart: $1 Veggie dish.
Green-Go (Vegan Restaurant): Vegan. $5 Entree, $3 salad.
Red Angkor (Tofu Cashew): $2-3 entrees. $0.50 draft beer. This was our second favorite restaurant.
Groceries and Booze: Here, or here. This is where we bought snack food and lunch we packed for the day tours.
Apartments For Rent: $300-$600 month. I haven’t researched this guy. Got his number off his sign.
Siem Reap Best Cheap Accommodations
Here are a few suggestions:
Hostel: Amazing price, location, and ratings.
Where we stayed: Very simple and elegant. Great price and location. 100 meters from our favorite restaurant and across the street from where we shopped for our picnics in the park.
Step Above: Stellar in every way and reasonable compared to the west in terms of price for this level of quality.
Airbnb: If we returned for a month, we would want a kitchen. At the time of this writing, we would make offers in this neighborhood for $17 per night here for a 30 day rental. Cheapest Flights to Siem Reap
We almost always get our cheapest flights on this Skyscanner. They have a web crawler that is constantly looking for the cheapest prices all over the world. However, this time, we took a bus from Battambang Cambodia to Siem Reap which we purchased here for $10.00 per person. The trip took about 4.5 hours.
