Siem Reap Cambodia Walking Tour

Watch the above video of the 5 things you must see Siem Reap Cambodia. The truth is, we were visiting tours in Angkor Temples for 3 days straight and we only had a half-day to do our walking tour for the Siem Reap old town area. If the above video looks fun, click ==>this link<== or the below map to take this walking tour.

This tour is as much about the journey as it is about the 5 destinations on the tour. Plus, there are several other tours (see the above links) that cover the best local food, the best nightlife spots, and the best temple tours of Angkor Wat (1, 2, and 3 Day Itineraries)

All of these tours are self-directed. We tell you where to go and what to do in our videos so you don’t have to pay tour guides if you are running on a tight budget.

The spots on this tour are embedded in the above Google Map. But here are the spots we cover on this walking tour.

Siem Reap Post Office: Buy a few postcards and send them from here. You can get 10 postcards for $1 USD in the market. They cost $0.75 USD to send. They arrived in the UK and the USA within 2 weeks. There are some beautiful stamps here telling the history of Cambodia if you are a collector.

Waterfront: Enjoy the stroll along the waterfront.

Wat Preah Prom Rath: Enjoy the beautiful Buddhist temple which includes pictures and three-dimensional scenes that display the origin story of Buddha.

Food Carts: Stop along the way and check out some of the food carts along the river. We show you some example dishes in our Best Cheap Food and Life video above.

Cambodia Art Center and Night Market: Cross over the bridge and continue heading a few blocks south to the Cambodia Arts Center. Enjoy the local arts and crafts sellers day and night and have a cocktail or two at the “Bar Carts” along the riverfront.

Old Market: Strike a bargain on your Angkor Wat Tshirt, have a $2 USD meal or buy some local spices in the Old Market.

Party the Night Away: Listen to music as you exit the night market. You are just one block away from Pub Street. Or click our above Nightlife Tour link and grab the Interactive Google Map for our Nightlife Tour of Siem Reap.
