Here are our Oaxaca Mexico best cheap accommodations.

You should stay in the old town area of Oaxaca. You can walk to most of the interesting things to do and see. You won’t need to get in a taxi. Here are the accommodations you should consider.  These are affiliate links.

They go from most to least expensive, as follows:

Quinta Real Oaxaca (Expensive but super nice)

Hotel NaNa Vida (Medium and nice)

Parador del Dominico (Totally functional and comfortable)

Hostel (Super cheap)

Airbnb House Share (Where we stayed): This is a house share on Airbnb. We have been totally happy with it at $19 USD per night. Check out our Life and Food video above to see the video inside this place. (If you are new to Airbnb, use this code http://www.airbnb.com/c/dbell50 for a big discount).

  1. Thank you for the encouragement Matt. Half the battle is knowing your dreams. Let us know how the snorkeling goes. Best, Dan

  2. Hi Dan! I found this site on accident!
    Bravo 12 year new life.
    1. Im looking for a cheap condo to buy on the coast of Guerrero and Taxco.
    2. My wife was born in Taxco GRO, but I’d prefer an ocean setting.
    3. I’m a retired teacher (63) and my wife is 55 and is a hone health worker.
    4. Zipotite sounded nice, but I’ve never been to either state’s Pacific Coast.
    5. We are very low budget people w/ out virtually any liquid capital, just a condo in San Pedro, LA.
    6. I’d been to Baja and the mainland of Mexico maybe 20 times before I met my wife. I’m not an ugly American, but I’d like to escape the USA. I taught Mostly Latinos for 27 years and am a leftist.
    7. Before I kick the bucket, I’d like to snorkel in either state also. I love the ocean, am morbidly obese, but a strong swimmer and ex-scuba diver.

watching one of your videos blew me away w/ your insightful info. Touché!
    Gracias por todo!
